All\u00ed record\u00f3 que <strong>en 2024 se logr\u00f3 una reducci\u00f3n del 16 % en la mortalidad por siniestros viales<\/strong>, pasando de <strong>316 fallecidos en 2023 a 285 el a\u00f1o pasado<\/strong>, lo que ubic\u00f3 al departamento entre los de mejor desempe\u00f1o a nivel nacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEl objetivo para este a\u00f1o es no superar las 285 muertes en carretera que se reportaron el a\u00f1o anterior\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Mart\u00ednez, al tiempo que reiter\u00f3 el compromiso de fortalecer las acciones de prevenci\u00f3n y control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante el encuentro tambi\u00e9n particip\u00f3 la <strong>Agencia Nacional de Seguridad Vial<\/strong>, representada por su director de infraestructura y veh\u00edculos, <strong>Luis Yair Aguilar<\/strong>, quien advirti\u00f3 sobre el constante crecimiento del parque automotor colombiano. Seg\u00fan Aguilar, el pa\u00eds ya supera los <strong>18 millones de veh\u00edculos<\/strong>, de los cuales <strong>12 millones son motocicletas<\/strong>, y se prev\u00e9 que este a\u00f1o ingresen cerca de <strong>un mill\u00f3n de motos adicionales<\/strong>, lo que supone un reto mayor para las entidades de tr\u00e1nsito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ante este panorama, Aguilar destac\u00f3 que las autoridades locales <strong>no cuentan con los recursos suficientes<\/strong> para atender por s\u00ed solas la creciente problem\u00e1tica, por lo que es urgente <strong>apoyarse en tecnolog\u00edas como la fotodetecci\u00f3n<\/strong> para mejorar la vigilancia y el cumplimiento de las normas de tr\u00e1nsito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el caso de C\u00f3rdoba, la Secretar\u00eda de Tr\u00e1nsito tiene bajo su responsabilidad <strong>la vigilancia en 25 municipios<\/strong>, pese a sus limitaciones presupuestarias y de personal.
