Este ascenso consolida a Monter\u00eda como una de las capitales con mejor desempe\u00f1o en pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas efectivas para el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico, la educaci\u00f3n, la innovaci\u00f3n y el empleo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El alcalde Hugo Kerguel\u00e9n Garc\u00eda recibi\u00f3 el galard\u00f3n en la ciudad de Manizales, durante el Encuentro Nacional de Competitividad, donde se exaltaron los esfuerzos de las ciudades que han implementado estrategias sostenibles para mejorar su entorno productivo, educativo y social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Educaci\u00f3n y seguridad, los pilares del ascenso*<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acuerdo con el informe del Consejo Privado de Competitividad y la Universidad del Rosario, Monter\u00eda alcanz\u00f3 su mejor desempe\u00f1o en el pilar de educaci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica y media, con una calificaci\u00f3n de 7,16 sobre 10, ubic\u00e1ndose en el puesto 10 entre las 32 capitales evaluadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los indicadores m\u00e1s destacados fueron los de puntaje promedio en las Pruebas Saber 11 y puntaje en colegios oficiales, donde la ciudad obtuvo 8,03 y 8,18 puntos, respectivamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asimismo, Monter\u00eda logr\u00f3 avances de 0,6 puntos en los pilares de instituciones y salud, impulsados por mejoras en tasa de hurtos, tasa de extorsi\u00f3n, productividad de jueces, controles prenatales y mortalidad materna .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El ICC tambi\u00e9n la destaca como una de las tres ciudades del pa\u00eds con mayor incremento promedio anual en su desempe\u00f1o competitivo en los \u00faltimos siete a\u00f1os (+2,2 %), junto a Mit\u00fa y Puerto Carre\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Entorno para los negocios y mercado laboral*<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El entorno para los negocios fue otro de los factores que fortaleci\u00f3 la posici\u00f3n de Monter\u00eda. El reporte evidenci\u00f3 mejoras en los indicadores relacionados con la formalizaci\u00f3n empresarial, el acceso a servicios financieros y la eficiencia regulatoria, elementos que reflejan un clima cada vez m\u00e1s favorable para el emprendimiento y la inversi\u00f3n local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el mercado laboral, Monter\u00eda mostr\u00f3 un comportamiento positivo con una reducci\u00f3n sostenida de la tasa de desempleo, que hoy se ubica en 9,8 %, la m\u00e1s baja en los \u00faltimos siete a\u00f1os. Este logro se respalda con la creaci\u00f3n de 11.888 nuevas ocupaciones, producto de estrategias que combinan formaci\u00f3n para el trabajo, apoyo a emprendimientos y acceso a microcr\u00e9ditos productivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El alcalde destac\u00f3 que la Secretar\u00eda de Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico y Competitividad, creada en esta administraci\u00f3n, ha sido determinante para lograr este resultado. Desde all\u00ed se lideran alianzas con el SENA, el Banco Agrario y la Fintech Monet, para facilitar el financiamiento de ideas de negocio, cr\u00e9ditos para el sector agro y la econom\u00eda popular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDesde la Secretar\u00eda venimos fortaleciendo el ecosistema empresarial. En 2025 Monter\u00eda pas\u00f3 del puesto 15 al 11 en el \u00cdndice Subnacional de Emprendimiento (ISEM), gracias al crecimiento del pilar de financiamiento y a la puesta en marcha de programas que hoy benefician a m\u00e1s de 2.000 emprendedores\u201d, explic\u00f3 el secretario de Desarrollo Econ\u00f3mico, Jos\u00e9 Nicol\u00e1s Barrios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Innovaci\u00f3n, tecnolog\u00eda y valor p\u00fablico*<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El informe tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 la apuesta de Monter\u00eda por la transformaci\u00f3n digital y la eficiencia en la gesti\u00f3n p\u00fablica, con la implementaci\u00f3n de un sistema ERP propio que integra procesos administrativos con tecnolog\u00edas de inteligencia artificial y blockchain, reduciendo en m\u00e1s de 660.000 hojas el consumo de papel y optimizando la atenci\u00f3n ciudadana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En materia educativa, la ciudad fortaleci\u00f3 la cobertura, la permanencia escolar y los programas de biling\u00fcismo, adem\u00e1s de ampliar el acceso a la educaci\u00f3n superior con iniciativas como \u201cTodos a la U\u201d y la inauguraci\u00f3n de la Universidad del Sur \u2013 CIS, que ofrece nuevas oportunidades a los j\u00f3venes del sur de la ciudad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
