El alcalde de Monter\u00eda, Hugo Kerguel\u00e9n Garc\u00eda, dio a conocer que el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo, a trav\u00e9s del Viceministerio de Turismo y la Direcci\u00f3n de Calidad y Desarrollo Sostenible del Turismo, seleccion\u00f3 a Monter\u00eda como uno de los 40 entes territoriales beneficiarios de la convocatoria \u201cCalidad que transforma territorios, excelencia que inspira\u201d, en el marco del Programa Nacional de Calidad Tur\u00edstica (PNCT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La capital cordobesa fue elegida dentro de las 10 ciudades que implementar\u00e1n la Norma T\u00e9cnica Colombiana NTC 6725, referente a los requisitos de sostenibilidad en destinos y \u00e1reas tur\u00edsticas, que busca asegurar el equilibrio entre el crecimiento del turismo y la conservaci\u00f3n ambiental, sociocultural y econ\u00f3mica del territorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Apuesta por la sostenibilidad y la excelencia*<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El acompa\u00f1amiento t\u00e9cnico del Ministerio permitir\u00e1 a Monter\u00eda avanzar en la implementaci\u00f3n de la NTC 6725 mediante un proceso en cuatro fases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diagn\u00f3stico inicial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orientaci\u00f3n y asistencia t\u00e9cnica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evaluaci\u00f3n y resultados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auditor\u00eda para la certificaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Octubre de 2025 cerr\u00f3 con una ocupaci\u00f3n hotelera del 79,1 %, alcanzando la venta de 24.224 habitaciones y generando ingresos por $4.369 millones de pesos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En comparaci\u00f3n con octubre de 2024, la ciudad creci\u00f3 9,1 puntos en ocupaci\u00f3n (de 70 % a 79,1 %), vendi\u00f3 7.268 habitaciones m\u00e1s y aument\u00f3 sus ventas en $1.291 millones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estos resultados son fruto de una agenda de eventos deportivos, culturales y corporativos que dinamizan la econom\u00eda local. Durante el mes, Monter\u00eda fue sede de la Copa Rey Pel\u00e9, la Ruta Monter\u00eda\u2013C\u00f3rdoba 2025, los Juegos Intercolegiados Departamentales, el Evento Deportivo del Magisterio y diversos encuentros empresariales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
