En el marco de su aniversario n\u00famero 134, la Polic\u00eda Nacional de Colombia conmemor\u00f3 m\u00e1s de un siglo de servicio al pa\u00eds con una solemne eucarist\u00eda celebrada en la Catedral San Jer\u00f3nimo de Monter\u00eda. El acto reuni\u00f3 a autoridades municipales y departamentales, as\u00ed como a representantes de la comunidad, en un homenaje a la instituci\u00f3n que ha sido pilar de orden, disciplina y compromiso con la seguridad ciudadana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante la ceremonia, se destac\u00f3 el orgullo y la vocaci\u00f3n de quienes integran la fuerza p\u00fablica. Al finalizar la misa, se realiz\u00f3 una ofrenda floral en memoria de los polic\u00edas que han perdido la vida en cumplimiento del deber, un gesto simb\u00f3lico que reafirma el respeto y la gratitud hacia su sacrificio por la paz y la convivencia del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La historia de la Polic\u00eda Nacional comenz\u00f3 el 5 de noviembre de 1891, cuando el entonces presidente Carlos Holgu\u00edn Mallarino firm\u00f3 el Decreto 1000 que dio origen a la instituci\u00f3n. Desde ese momento, la Polic\u00eda ha acompa\u00f1ado el desarrollo de la naci\u00f3n, adapt\u00e1ndose a los retos sociales y tecnol\u00f3gicos de cada \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
