Monter\u00eda, 11 de noviembre de 2025. Monter\u00eda dio hoy un paso hist\u00f3rico en su consolidaci\u00f3n como destino tur\u00edstico, plataforma log\u00edstica y ciudad conectada con el mundo. A trav\u00e9s de la Resoluci\u00f3n 4003 de 2025, la Unidad Administrativa Especial Migraci\u00f3n Colombia oficializ\u00f3 la creaci\u00f3n del Puesto de Control Migratorio en el Aeropuerto Los Garzones, convirtiendo a la terminal a\u00e9rea de Monter\u00eda en aeropuerto internacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esta decisi\u00f3n materializa una gesti\u00f3n institucional conjunta entre la Alcald\u00eda de Monter\u00eda el Gobierno Nacional, Migraci\u00f3n Colombia, la Aerocivil, la ANI, la alcald\u00eda de Ceret\u00e9 y la Gobernaci\u00f3n de C\u00f3rdoba, que trabajaron durante meses para habilitar este nuevo estatus aeroportuario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un salto estrat\u00e9gico para el Caribe colombiano<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El alcalde de Monter\u00eda, Hugo Kerguel\u00e9n Garc\u00eda, celebr\u00f3 el anuncio y lo calific\u00f3 como \u201cun avance decisivo en la proyecci\u00f3n global de la ciudad y en el fortalecimiento del turismo en todo el Caribe\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEl nuevo Puesto de Control Migratorio en Los Garzones abre una ventana al mundo. Esta es una apuesta de pa\u00eds para impulsar el turismo de Monter\u00eda y la regi\u00f3n Caribe. Con relaci\u00f3n al equipo de Biomig lo estaremos entregando antes de finalizar el mes de noviembre\u201d, agreg\u00f3  Kerguel\u00e9n Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con la habilitaci\u00f3n del puesto migratorio, Monter\u00eda queda en condiciones operativas para recibir y despachar vuelos internacionales, lo que se traduce en mayor conectividad, competitividad y oportunidades de inversi\u00f3n para la ciudad y su \u00e1rea de influencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acciones adelantadas<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los compromisos del 1\u00ba de julio de 2025 incluyeron un conjunto de tareas acordadas entre AirPlan y las autoridades locales y nacionales para avanzar en los requerimientos operativos y de seguridad del aeropuerto Los Garzones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre ellos se estableci\u00f3 gestionar una reuni\u00f3n con Antinarc\u00f3ticos para definir los elementos indispensables de la Fase I; entregar la documentaci\u00f3n solicitada por la DIAN y presentar los planos actualizados; avanzar en la formalizaci\u00f3n del convenio con los hospitales; y coordinar con la Polic\u00eda Aeroportuaria la revisi\u00f3n del convenio vigente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adicionalmente, se fijaron compromisos como la compra de dos equipos Body Scan para la segunda fase, la realizaci\u00f3n de una reuni\u00f3n con la ANI para solicitar la limpieza de canales y garantizar el permiso necesario para intervenirlas; as\u00ed como la gesti\u00f3n de lobby ante las aerol\u00edneas para indicarles que la terminal a\u00e9rea est\u00e1 lista para que lleguen a operar las rutas internacionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las salas de abordaje y las divisiones entre vuelos nacionales  e internacionales est\u00e1n listas y funcionando con los equipos tecnol\u00f3gicos necesarios. A su vez est\u00e1n listos los espacios para la operaci\u00f3n de la Dian, quedando pendiente la resoluci\u00f3n por parte de esta entidad declarando la zona primaria aduanera, la que estar\u00eda lista la pr\u00f3xima semana. Esto ayuda a que no se dependa de la fiscalizaci\u00f3n de zonas como Medell\u00edn o el Urab\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El gerente del aeropuerto Los Garzones, Luis Alberto Rodr\u00edguez, indic\u00f3 que desde AirPlan se realiz\u00f3 una inversi\u00f3n de 4.200 millones de pesos y el cumplimiento total de los compromisos en infraestructura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seg\u00fan el informe mostrado, la dotaci\u00f3n de equipos de tecnolog\u00eda, incluida la c\u00e1mara de servidores y el RAC, alcanza un avance del 95%, mientras que la entrega de informaci\u00f3n a entidades como la DIAN ya se encuentra completada al 100%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estos progresos reflejan un proceso de modernizaci\u00f3n s\u00f3lido y una gesti\u00f3n alineada con los requerimientos operativos del aeropuerto, asegur\u00f3 Kerguel\u00e9n Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La ruta Monter\u00eda – Panam\u00e1, cada vez m\u00e1s cerca<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El alcalde Kerguel\u00e9n reiter\u00f3 adem\u00e1s que su administraci\u00f3n continuar\u00e1 trabajando para que Monter\u00eda tenga su primera ruta internacional directa: Monter\u00eda – Panam\u00e1, una conexi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica que acercar\u00eda la Cuenca del Sin\u00fa con uno de los hubs a\u00e9reos m\u00e1s importantes del continente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
