En una solemne ceremonia militar realizada en el campo de paradas de la D\u00e9cima Primera Brigada, el brigadier general \u00d3scar del Cristo D\u00edaz Montiel asumi\u00f3 oficialmente el mando de esta unidad del Ej\u00e9rcito Nacional, en reemplazo del brigadier general Eduardo Alberto Arias Rojas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El acto fue presidido por el mayor general Fabio Leonardo Caro Cancelado, comandante de la S\u00e9ptima Divisi\u00f3n, y cont\u00f3 con la presencia de autoridades civiles de C\u00f3rdoba, Sucre y Antioquia, as\u00ed como representantes de la Fuerza P\u00fablica, la Iglesia, gremios, empresarios y personal de la Reserva Activa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u00edaz Montiel, oriundo de Sahag\u00fan, C\u00f3rdoba, es oficial de Infanter\u00eda con especialidad en operaciones en selva y m\u00e1s de 34 a\u00f1os de servicio. Es profesional en Ciencias Militares, cuenta con especializaciones y una maestr\u00eda en Seguridad y Defensa Nacional, adem\u00e1s de una amplia formaci\u00f3n en planeamiento, derechos humanos y derecho internacional humanitario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A lo largo de su carrera ha comandado unidades estrat\u00e9gicas como la Fuerza de Despliegue R\u00e1pido N.\u00b0 1, el Comando Operativo Apolo, y se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como Agregado Militar ante la ONU, representando a Colombia a nivel internacional. Su labor ha sido reconocida con importantes condecoraciones, entre ellas la Orden de Boyac\u00e1 y la Medalla de Servicios Distinguidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como nuevo comandante de la Brigada 11, asume el reto de fortalecer la seguridad, la estabilidad territorial y la protecci\u00f3n de la poblaci\u00f3n civil en C\u00f3rdoba, Sucre y el Bajo Cauca antioque\u00f1o, trabajando de la mano con las autoridades locales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
