La Alcald\u00eda de Monter\u00eda decret\u00f3 la calamidad p\u00fablica como medida preventiva y de respuesta ante las afectaciones generadas por las intensas lluvias registradas en los \u00faltimos d\u00edas en el municipio, las cuales han impactado a comunidades rurales y urbanas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La decisi\u00f3n se tom\u00f3 hoy luego de una reuni\u00f3n del Comit\u00e9 Municipal de Gesti\u00f3n de Riesgos, liderado por el alcalde Hugo Kerguel\u00e9n Garc\u00eda, en la que participaron todas las autoridades locales, organismos de socorro y los comit\u00e9s de Gesti\u00f3n del Riesgo de Desastres de la ciudad, con el fin de evaluar la magnitud de la emergencia y coordinar acciones inmediatas de atenci\u00f3n a los damnificados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abEl decreto de calamidad nos permite actuar con mayor rapidez y articular todos los esfuerzos institucionales para proteger a nuestras comunidades. La prioridad hoy es salvaguardar la vida y la dignidad de las familias afectadas, afirm\u00f3 el alcalde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\u00ed mismo, el mandatario asegur\u00f3 que desde el primer momento la administraci\u00f3n municipal ha estado presente en los territorios impactados. \u00abNo hemos dejado solas a las familias afectadas. Estamos brindando ayudas humanitarias, acompa\u00f1amiento permanente y una respuesta integral a esta emergencia\u00bb, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De igual forma, Kerguel\u00e9n Garc\u00eda inform\u00f3 que se han habilitado albergues temporales en instituciones educativas del municipio, con todas las condiciones necesarias para atender a las personas que han debido evacuar sus viviendas. \u00abHemos dispuesto colegios como albergues temporales para garantizar un techo seguro, alimentaci\u00f3n y atenci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica mientras superamos esta situaci\u00f3n\u00bb, explic\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
