As\u00ed lo advirti\u00f3 Fenalcarb\u00f3n, al revelar una fuerte contracci\u00f3n en las exportaciones, los ingresos y la producci\u00f3n del sector, una situaci\u00f3n que pone en riesgo cerca de 150.000 empleos en varias regiones del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De acuerdo con el gremio, las exportaciones de carb\u00f3n registraron una ca\u00edda del 21,2 % en volumen y del 31,8 % en ingresos frente a 2024. Este desplome se explica, en buena parte, por el exceso de inventarios a nivel global, la reducci\u00f3n de los precios internacionales del carb\u00f3n y el coque, as\u00ed como por una serie de decisiones tributarias y administrativas adoptadas en Colombia durante los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os, que han debilitado la competitividad del sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"599\" height=\"313\" src=\"https:\/\/turadio.com.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/486711227_1179032317347501_1554080391942217786_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/turadio.com.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/486711227_1179032317347501_1554080391942217786_n.jpg 599w, https:\/\/turadio.com.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/486711227_1179032317347501_1554080391942217786_n-300x157.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fenalcarb\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n report\u00f3 que la producci\u00f3n nacional de carb\u00f3n se redujo en 19 % en los \u00faltimos dos a\u00f1os, lo que representa cerca de 10 millones de toneladas menos, reflejo de un entorno adverso frente a otros mercados internacionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El impacto no se limita a las empresas. Seg\u00fan el gremio, la contracci\u00f3n del sector ha generado efectos en cadena sobre la econom\u00eda nacional, como la disminuci\u00f3n del transporte de carga, mayores presiones sobre los costos log\u00edsticos y una reducci\u00f3n del 29 % en regal\u00edas y contraprestaciones, afectando de forma directa a municipios y departamentos dependientes de la actividad minera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Empleo bajo amenaza<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 2023, la industria del carb\u00f3n gener\u00f3 alrededor de 130.000 empleos directos y cerca de 650.000 indirectos en toda su cadena productiva, con fuerte presencia en departamentos como Boyac\u00e1, Norte de Santander, Santander, Cundinamarca, Antioquia, C\u00f3rdoba, La Guajira y Cesar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin embargo, Fenalcarb\u00f3n alert\u00f3 que las condiciones actuales est\u00e1n provocando la p\u00e9rdida de m\u00e1s de 25.000 empleos directos y aproximadamente 100.000 indirectos, afectando especialmente a la peque\u00f1a y mediana miner\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entre los factores que han intensificado la crisis, el gremio se\u00f1al\u00f3 la sobretasa permanente del 10 % al impuesto de renta, un gravamen adicional del 1 % a las ventas de carb\u00f3n decretado durante la emergencia econ\u00f3mica, el aumento de la autorretenci\u00f3n del 1,6 % al 4,5 %, que impacta el flujo de caja empresarial, y la ca\u00edda de los precios internacionales del carb\u00f3n en m\u00e1s del 20 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"360\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/turadio.com.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/305660083_572048431379229_2303115835402285521_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4601\" srcset=\"https:\/\/turadio.com.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/305660083_572048431379229_2303115835402285521_n.jpg 360w, https:\/\/turadio.com.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/305660083_572048431379229_2303115835402285521_n-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/turadio.com.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/305660083_572048431379229_2303115835402285521_n-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alerta por un mayor deterioro<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carlos Cante, presidente ejecutivo de Fenalcarb\u00f3n, advirti\u00f3 que el incremento de los costos operativos \u2014muchos de ellos atados al salario m\u00ednimo\u2014 sumado al encarecimiento log\u00edstico, est\u00e1 comprometiendo la viabilidad de cientos de empresas del sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLa ca\u00edda de las exportaciones no solo es un golpe econ\u00f3mico, sino tambi\u00e9n social para las regiones productoras\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el directivo, quien alert\u00f3 que, de mantenerse las condiciones actuales y tras los recientes ajustes econ\u00f3micos y salariales, podr\u00eda perderse hasta un 25 % adicional del empleo, lo que equivaldr\u00eda a 150.000 puestos de trabajo en riesgo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ante este panorama, Fenalcarb\u00f3n insisti\u00f3 en la urgencia de avanzar hacia una transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica planificada, que permita proteger el empleo, garantizar la sostenibilidad regional y preservar la competitividad de la industria en el corto y mediano plazo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La industria del carb\u00f3n en Colombia atraviesa una de sus peores crisis en a\u00f1os.
