Con estudiantes, comunidades, autoridades y sector privado, el Ministerio de Ambiente avanz\u00f3 en la construcci\u00f3n participativa de la nueva hoja de ruta para conservar al jaguar, el puma y otros felinos silvestres hasta 2050.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible realiz\u00f3 en Barrancabermeja el tercer taller regional de la gira nacional para la actualizaci\u00f3n del Programa Nacional de Conservaci\u00f3n de Felinos Silvestres de Colombia, en el marco de la campa\u00f1a \u2018Colombia Felina\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El encuentro, realizado en la Ciudadela Educativa Magdalena Medio, cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de 75 personas provenientes de Antioquia y Santander, entre ellas representantes de gobernaciones, alcald\u00edas, autoridades ambientales del Sistema Nacional Ambiental (Sina), empresas del sector privado como ISA y Ecopetrol, gremios de palmicultores, ganaderos y caficultores, l\u00edderes del N\u00facleo de Desarrollo Forestal y de la Biodiversidad San Lucas, as\u00ed como comunidades y fundaciones locales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Serran\u00eda de San Lucas, ubicada en el Magdalena Medio, es una de las \u00e1reas m\u00e1s importantes para la conservaci\u00f3n del jaguar a lo largo de toda su distribuci\u00f3n, que se extiende desde M\u00e9xico hasta Argentina. Esta zona, reconocida como el coraz\u00f3n del Corredor Jaguar, es clave para la conectividad de las poblaciones de felinos entre Centro y Suram\u00e9rica y para la protecci\u00f3n del r\u00edo Magdalena. Sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n enfrenta amenazas como la deforestaci\u00f3n, lo que ha llevado a convertirse en un N\u00facleo de Desarrollo Forestal prioritario. Iniciar la construcci\u00f3n de una hoja de ruta desde este territorio es estrat\u00e9gico para proyectar, en los pr\u00f3ximos 25 a\u00f1os, acciones que garanticen la conservaci\u00f3n de sus ecosistemas y la convivencia arm\u00f3nica entre comunidades y fauna silvestre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En este taller, los estudiantes del t\u00e9cnico agropecuario fueron protagonistas, aportando sus ideas y visiones sobre la conservaci\u00f3n de la fauna silvestre. Este componente intergeneracional fortalece el compromiso del programa con la formaci\u00f3n de nuevas generaciones de guardianes de la biodiversidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cConservar a los felinos en el Magdalena Medio es tambi\u00e9n conservar este territorio y reconocer su importancia como regi\u00f3n biogeogr\u00e1fica y ecosist\u00e9mica. La suma de voces, saberes y esfuerzos de todos los sectores para proteger a jaguares, pumas y dem\u00e1s felinos silvestres, a trav\u00e9s de una hoja de ruta conjunta hasta 2050, representa un compromiso con las futuras generaciones y con la preservaci\u00f3n de este territorio y su gente\u201d, afirm\u00f3 el viceministro de Pol\u00edticas y Normalizaci\u00f3n Ambiental, Mauricio Cabrera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El taller fue posible gracias al apoyo de la Fundaci\u00f3n Panthera, ISA, Fundaci\u00f3n Cuidar la Tierra, Web Conserva, WWF y GEF Coraz\u00f3n de la Amazon\u00eda, reafirmando la importancia de la articulaci\u00f3n entre gobierno, sector privado, academia, organizaciones sociales y cooperaci\u00f3n internacional en la protecci\u00f3n de los grandes felinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La gira nacional de actualizaci\u00f3n del Programa Nacional de Conservaci\u00f3n de Felinos Silvestres contempla ocho talleres regionales en todo el pa\u00eds, cuyos insumos se consolidar\u00e1n en la versi\u00f3n 2050 del programa. Este ser\u00e1 presentado oficialmente el pr\u00f3ximo 29 de noviembre, en el marco del D\u00eda Internacional del Jaguar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con esta estrategia, Colombia se posiciona como l\u00edder regional en conservaci\u00f3n de biodiversidad, fortaleciendo la conexi\u00f3n entre territorios y garantizando que los grandes felinos y sus ecosistemas contin\u00faen siendo un patrimonio natural para el pa\u00eds y el mundo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
