El rector Jairo Torres Oviedo, junto al equipo directivo y funcionarios, recorri\u00f3 los espacios renovados y en construcci\u00f3n que recibir\u00e1n a los estudiantes en el nuevo semestre acad\u00e9mico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Universidad de C\u00f3rdoba se prepara para recibir el pr\u00f3ximo 19 de agosto a sus estudiantes antiguos y nuevos con una infraestructura f\u00edsica, t\u00e9cnica y tecnol\u00f3gica renovada. As\u00ed lo expres\u00f3 el rector Jairo Miguel Torres Oviedo durante un recorrido institucional realizado la ma\u00f1ana de este lunes, en compa\u00f1\u00eda de directivos administrativos, decanos y funcionarios de distintas \u00e1reas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVan a encontrar una universidad fortalecida en sus capacidades institucionales, y eso les va a permitir, como estudiantes, desarrollar un proceso en las mejores condiciones\u201d, afirm\u00f3 el profe Jairo, destacando las obras de modernizaci\u00f3n que se han ejecutado y las que est\u00e1n en marcha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La visita incluy\u00f3 espacios acad\u00e9micos, recreativos, culturales y deportivos que han sido objeto de adecuaciones y dotaciones. Entre ellos se encuentran el edificio de Posgrados con aula inteligente y tecnolog\u00eda de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como la Facultad de Educaci\u00f3n, con mejoras en bienestar profesoral y estudiantil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el \u00e1mbito cultural, sobresale la remodelaci\u00f3n del Auditorio Cultural, que contar\u00e1 con una capacidad para 380 personas y un dise\u00f1o ac\u00fastico de primer nivel, convirti\u00e9ndose en uno de los mejor equipados del Caribe colombiano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el sector deportivo, el polideportivo recientemente terminado, el mantenimiento de la piscina y la adecuaci\u00f3n de oficinas para deporte ofrecen a los estudiantes espacios \u00f3ptimos para el esparcimiento y la actividad f\u00edsica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Biblioteca Central, con 5.200 metros cuadrados y en su fase final de construcci\u00f3n, promete ser un referente acad\u00e9mico y tecnol\u00f3gico gracias a la cooperaci\u00f3n con la Gobernaci\u00f3n de C\u00f3rdoba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El recorrido incluy\u00f3 avances en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud, como la reciente adquisici\u00f3n de simuladores de parto de alta tecnolog\u00eda y adecuaci\u00f3n de sala de inform\u00e1tica para aula de clases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En el programa de Licenciatura en Educaci\u00f3n Art\u00edstica, se dot\u00f3 la sala de pr\u00e1cticas musicales con instrumentos de viento, percusi\u00f3n y cuerda, adem\u00e1s del mantenimiento de pianos e instrumentos de viento, ampliando la cobertura acad\u00e9mica y pr\u00e1ctica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otras intervenciones destacadas se realizaron en los bloques de Agronom\u00eda, Bacteriolog\u00eda, Inform\u00e1tica, Geograf\u00eda y oficinas administrativas, adem\u00e1s de adecuaciones en cub\u00edculos de profesores, la oficina de atenci\u00f3n a egresados y espacios para asociaciones sindicales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El rector Torres Oviedo record\u00f3 que este fortalecimiento es fruto de un esfuerzo colectivo. \u201cEste es un llamado a proteger y cuidar estas capacidades, porque son un esfuerzo de la sociedad, en tanto que, esto es una universidad p\u00fablica, y todo este fortalecimiento obedece a que la sociedad paga impuestos, y parte de esos recursos llegan aqu\u00ed para cumplir una funci\u00f3n social: fortalecer a la universidad para que brinde un servicio educativo con los m\u00e1s altos est\u00e1ndares de calidad\u201d, dijo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
