Las actividades ilegales de piques no solo ponen en riesgo a quienes las practican, sino tambi\u00e9n a ciclistas, peatones y conductores de veh\u00edculos particulares, transporte p\u00fablico y de carga. La mayor\u00eda de los involucrados en estas pr\u00e1cticas son j\u00f3venes y menores de edad, por lo que continuaremos realizando campa\u00f1as y controles para salvaguardar la seguridad de todos los monterianos\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el marco de estas acciones se han inmovilizado 85 motocicletas y aplicado 135 comparendos a personas que han sido sorprendidas en este tipo de actividades irregulares, seg\u00fan lo confirm\u00f3 el comandante de la Polic\u00eda Metropolitana, coronel H\u00e9ctor Ruiz Arias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El oficial y la secretaria de Tr\u00e1nsito de Monter\u00eda tambi\u00e9n se refirieron a un incidente en el que estuvo involucrado uno de los participantes en los piques de motos ilegales. Ruiz Arias explic\u00f3 que un motociclista, \u201cal tratar de huir de la actividad de intervenci\u00f3n, se moviliz\u00f3 en contrav\u00eda y sufri\u00f3 un accidente que le gener\u00f3 una lesi\u00f3n\u201d.
